History

Homer IP opened its doors in 2018 to serve innovators, creators and entrepreneurs. While Houston, Texas is home, the firm practices nationwide. Prior to founding Homer IP, PLLC, Aaron Homer was a commercial litigator and patent attorney with one of Houston’s most established law firms where he also built the firm’s intellectual property section. Before that, at the age of 21, Aaron co-founded a technology firm providing voice and data services to universities nationwide. Aaron Aaron brings an exceptional level of technical knowledge, dedication, toughness and nuanced perspective that makes Homer IP the holistic solution for creative clients.

Aaron Homer

Aaron Homer, a registered patent attorney, cut his teeth as a commercial litigator with Houston’s most established law firms where he also built the firm’s intellectual property section. An experienced litigator, Aaron handles patent infringement, copyright infringement and trade secrets litigation. Aaron’s patent experience includes conventional district court litigation as well as AIA post-grant proceedings such as Inter Partes Review before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

​Aaron graduated, magna cum laude, from South Texas College of Law where he earned numerous academic honors, and was a member of the South Texas Law Review where he was published in 2007.   Aaron also earned an LLM in Intellectual Property and Information Law from the University of Houston Law Center.

​In 2002, Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas.  Between degrees, he worked at Reliant Energy as a software developer.  Aaron also co-founded Apogee Telecom, Inc., a technology firm providing voice and data services to university students nationwide.
